free - woman rain drps Why is it that we can get so pre-occupied running around being nice, blessing everyone possible with our loveliness?

Well, for starters it feels so good, we feel so validated; we’ve done something nice to our ‘neighbours’. Giving, particularly for women, releases the feel-good hormone Oxytocin.

However, the danger is that, being so busy doing good, spreading the love, we do not really have time to stop and deal with our own issues. The temporary Oxytocin flush of ‘loving our neighbour’ can potentially backfire and deplete us even more.

There is another aspect: being so self sacrificial, denying ourselves, it’s easy to slip a little bit into a self-righteous mode of a ‘role-model’ to others who’re not quite pulling their weight as we feel they should.

It’s so convenient to hide behind all these loving activities.
Whilst love is a mandate, let’s put it in perspective, “love your neighbour as yourself.”

5 drops jasmine essential oil
5 drops ylang-ylang essential oil

Healing power of drumming

Essential Oil Blend to Boost Your Energy and Support those Adrenals Naturally – incl. Thyroid Function !

Currently I am testing out a new – to me – essential oil blend which is supposed to revitalise, uplifting, strengthening, and restore mental alertness. When it comes to the typical afternoon slump I tend to reach for the coffee, so I thought I would give this blend a try. Don’t get me wrong, I love my coffee, but there is a difference between enjoying coffee, especialy if you are sipping a delicious brew from an exquisite coffee bean, and having to reach for the coffee just to make it through the day.

I got the new blend in the post yesterday, a bit of a sluggish Monday morning and decided to try it out straight away. Well, I was pleasantly surprised – it did work beautifully. Currently I have it on me as well, and indeed no need for coffee. I find it is both energizing as well as calming … the energy lift without any hyper adrenaline affect. I suppose the addition of the balsam Fir gives it this tranquil element of relaxed alertness.

As I am taking another sniff right now it has developped on my skin like a perfume. It’s got some warm notes. It’s like walking through a pine forest and drinking in the deep scent released whilst brushing passed by the branches. But amidst the relaxing fragrance of the balsam fir jazzes up the vibrant refreshing lemongrass, balanced out with the herbs and the other spices.

It is an oil blend that certainly maximises the synergistic effect between the various individual oil chemistries and harmonic frequencies.

The oil blend is high in sesquiterpenes which help to increase the oxygen in the limbic system of the brain, which in turn “unlocks” the DNA and allows emotional baggage to be released from cellular memory. The blend contains Rosemary, Juniper, Nutmeg, Fir, Black Pepper, Lemongrass and Clove. It is high in limonene. Rosemary alpha pinene works on the brain, and camphor from the juniper helps in its soothening action.
